Teaching Simple Present Tense By Using Grammar Translation Method (A Field Research at Elementary Level LPIA Rawasari)

The objectives of this research is to know the effectiveness of teaching Simple Present Tense using Grammar Translation Method and the problem that the writer finds out in the teaching-learning process. The data were collected through libraries, internet, observation and test. The research was concluded at elementary level LPIA Rawasari. The result of this research indicated that : (1) the writer applied grammar translation method in teaching simple past tense by using cue card. The writer also always uses both English as target languange and Indonesian as source languange or mother tongue  (2) the problems tha are found in teaching-learning process are the students are difficult to pay attention to the material that the writer explained and some students have less vocabulary. Field Trip to National Museum

One of the most interesting activity with my students was accompany them do Field Trip Activity. This semester, we went to the National Museum and we have been guided by the native speaker. Suprisingly, the native speaker knew the culture and history of Indonesia better than us as Indonesian.

Being a Moderator at Workshop and Try Out of English Competence

Bina Sarana Informatika khususnya program studi sekretari dan manajemen perusahaan mengadakan workshop dengan judul Workshop and Try Out of English Competence. Workshop ini dilaksanakan di Aula Kampus BSI Bandung pada hari Rabu, 12 April 2017. Workshop and Try Out of English Competence ini menghadirkan pembicara Ibu Wiruma Titian Adi, S.S, M.M. Acara ini dihadari sebanyak 40 mahasiswa/i. Workshop berlangsung dari pukul 11.00-14.00 WIB

Tepat jam 11 pagi acara workshop ini dibuka oleh moderator, Rizky Mirani, S.S, M.Pd dengan memberikan informasi pertama tentang tujuan workshop ini, susunan acara dan memperkenalkan pembicara kepada peserta workshop. Dilanjutkan pada jam 11.15-14.00, Ibu Wiruma memberikan pemaparan tentang Tips and Trick mengerjakan tes TOEFL. Peserta workshop terlihat antusias dan aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan workshop. Ibu Wiruma juga mengundang beberapa mahasiswa untuk ikut mengerjakan beberapa contoh soal TOEFL. Antusiasme peserta kembali terlihat ketika sesi tanya-jawab dibuka. Peserta workshop berebut untuk mengajukan pertanyaan kepada Ibu Wiruma.

Workshop ini ditujukan untuk mahasiswa/i Akademi Sekretari dan Manajemen Bina Sarana Informatika program studi sekretari dan manajemen perusahaan semester VI (Enam). Dari workshop yang bertema Peningkatan Kompetensi Bahasa Inggris ini, pembicara menyampaikan  materi seputar kompetensi bahasa Inggris yang harus dikuasai, jenis-jenis tes kompetensi bahasa Inggris, dan tips & trick dalam mengerjakan tes TOEFL.       Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu rencana kerja lembaga bahasa BSI.   

Workshop ini bertujuan agar mahasiswa/i program studi sekretari dan manajemen perusahaan mengetahui kemampuan bahasa Inggris mereka. Selain itu mahasiswa diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi bahasa Inggris yang bagus sehingga mereka memiliki daya saing di dunia kerja kelak. (RRR)

Rapat Kerja Konsorsium

Rapat kerja konsorsium program studi bahasa Inggris dilaksanakan biasanya diawal semester dan akhir semester. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi semua kegiatan akademik yang dilaksanakan selama satu semester. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga mengevaluasi bahan ajar dan bahan ujian mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini merupakan wadah bagi anggota konsorsium untuk menyampaikan masukan yang berkaitan dengan bahan ajar sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas bahan ajar di semester berikutnya.

English Language Training Program

My first job after being appointed as a staff of BSI Language Institute was to become a tutor in English Language Training Program. This training was for lecturers who would take the TOEP exam.

The training provided is in the form of listening, reading, and writing training. This training lasts for 3 days. English language training is conducted to deepen the ability of lecturers who will take the TOEP test for the needs of serdos. This activity aims to make lecturers who take the TOEP test get good grades.

English Leadership Training Program

This activity was held in Desember 2016 at Puncak. This activity aims to train the leadership abilities of prospective members of the English Language Department Student Association.The activity was held for three days. This activity is filled with games that train leadership, seminars about student organizations, conflict management exercises and activity to get to know each other.On the last day, the old management of the English department student association inducted  new members of the English department student association.
